Arjan Wolkers

Arjan Wolkers is the Knowledge Counsel and Indirect taxes specialist of Hertoghs advocaten, a Dutch boutique law firm specialised in fraud and tax litigation.



Following his graduation in 1996 at the Leiden University, Arjan joined KPMG Meijburg & Co. as a specialist in Indirect Taxes, especially customs, customs proceedings and excise duties. With his 20 years of theoretical and practical experience in both litigation and consultancy, Arjan joined Hertoghs advocaten as our Knowledge Counsel in May 2016.

Arjan is responsible for the academic support of our fraud and tax litigation practice. He regularly writes academic theses on tax litigation and indirect tax issues. In his opinion, exchange of knowledge and professional competence are paramount for a successful law practice.

With his broad knowledge of and experience in indirect taxes, he further is responsible for the development of our customs and excise duties practice.
