Linda Gruijthuijsen

In September 2018, Linda started working for Hertoghs advocaten as a legal assistant. She specialises in criminal tax cases.

‘Criminal proceedings and tax proceedings are characterised by enormous differences in the power positions of the respective parties and therefore they can have far-reaching consequences. I am driven to do my utmost in every single case in order to offer the best legal protection for our clients.’

Linda graduated in Dutch Law and Health Sciences at Maastricht University. She then obtained a Master’s degree at the University of Cambridge with a specialisation in International Law and also a Master’s degree in Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam. She wrote her thesis on the subject of criminal liability due to poor management.

During her studies, Linda was a student assistant at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at Maastricht University and she did voluntary work for the Vrouwenrechtswinkel Maastricht, the centre for legal advice for women. She was also an active member of the criminal study society M.P. Vrij. Furthermore, she acquired experience as a working student with two big law firms specialised in financial and tax fraud. After she graduated at the University of Amsterdam in 2018, she started to work for Hertoghs.
