Hertoghs tax attorneys have existed in their current form since 1990. Almost all our attorneys specialise in tax law. That’s why we refer to ourselves as tax attorneys. In other words, we are not tax advisers. Instead we seek to resolve specific tax-related conflicts between tax-liable businesses and tax and legal authorities.
Our attorneys specialise primarily in tax law procedure, penal and criminal tax law and tax collection law, as well as in related areas such as Supreme Court (cassation) proceedings, customs procedures and EU fraud cases.
Hertoghs tax attorneys are a leading authority on tax litigation and law. Our attorneys and tax specialists seek at all times to defend the position and interests of the taxpayer against those of the tax authorities. And that means crossing swords with tax inspectors and collectors, customs authorities, the Public Prosecution Service and the Dutch anti-fraud agency (FIOD). Where necessary, we will continue legal proceedings to the highest level, focusing at all times on our key drivers of clients, trust and quality.
